and the resulting material cannot be disposed as normal industrial waste. Generally, rocket fuels are disposed through:   <\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Removal and recycling:<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some solid propellant combinations can be recycled, for example the most common combination contains Ammonium perchlorate and aluminium powder, which can be reused as fertilizer and raw materials respectively.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-d99987b\" data-id=\"d99987b\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ab15b76 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ab15b76\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is sometimes possible to also recover the plastic binder (whose decay is the main reason for the unreliability of old propellant) for the production of elastomers.<br><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This however requires that the removal of the propellant from the housing without residues and without thermal or chemical processes that may change its composition or cause a combustion.
