Hydrodemolition
Hydrodemolition is the process of selective removal of concrete by one or more high-speed water jets, which is the detachment of a constant or variable layer from a surface.
The essential equipment for selective hydroscarification, or removal of concrete from horizontal or near-horizontal surfaces is the following:
- A water filtration system and low-pressure feed
- A high-pressure pump unit
- An hydrodemolition unit
- A water recovery and filtration system
These systems are designed and manufactured for 24/7 operation.
Hydrodemolition has been a revolutionary technology, perfected with time, for the scarification of concrete. It has unique features which not only replace previous methods thanks to the better results but also allow operations that would have been impossible before, and the structural recovery of infrastructures even after severe deterioration.
In spite of the high quality reached, JetBlast is conducting research and development for new equipment and to improve reliability and performance of the existing one.
