The aluminium alloy bell limits weight and allows an horizontal cantilever mount on the pump connections, while the stainless-steel valve body provides corrosion and wear resistance on the valve seats.
With an over 1000:1 ratio between actuation area and water passage area, it can control high pressure water supplies even with weal pneumatic control. The return to open position is guaranteed by a spring integrated into the actuator when there is no water flow.
Safety device for high-pressure pump systems
The rupture disc safety valves are specifically designed for the waterjetting sector as a safety device for high pressure units and systems. If pressure exceeds the limit allowed by the burst disc, it ruptures, causing an immediate pressure drop in the system. Therefore, the system can never exceed the maximum pressure of the burst disc installed.
Rupture disc
The burst disc holder by DERC contains the disc. When pressure exceeds the maximum pressure of the disc, this ruptures. As a result, water can flow through drain holes in the upper part of the holder. A protective cover is installed over the drain holes, to control the water exhaust.

Tamper seal
The burst disc holder must be sealed with metal safety wire and the related plate of the burst disc after reassembly. In this manner, safety is guaranteed and it is always clear which rupture disc is installed in the holder.
VPS – Pneumatic stop valve
The VPS is a stop valve with is necessary to prevent the spillage of water from high pressure lines when it is not in use.
Usually these valves are normally open (NO) without any actuation command, but other configurations are also possible.
Special design
The valve body has four ½” threaded connectors, one on each face, to allow the user to choose the exit direction and also the installation of pressure gauges and sensors.
It reliably blocks the water flow during bypass operation of the pump.
It resists pressures of about 50 bar when closed. It is necessary for uses which don’t have a dedicated control valve.
Special design: compact body, low pressure drop, for pressures up to 1400bar.
VPSC – Pneumatic safety and control valve
The VPSC pneumatic safety and control valve is our current solution for the management of high-pressure water flow. It can control a wide range of pressures and flowrates and can be adapted to any connection.

With an over 1000:1 ratio between the actuator surface and water passage, the valve can control high-pressure flows even with weak pneumatic feed, and it is designed for frequent commutation operations.
