Filtration and decantationH2O Clear

H2O Clear is a water treatment system for hydrodemolition works.

JetBlast has as its objective the reduction of the environmental impact, to make hydrodemolition sustainalbe and to respect the principles of ecology in designing, producing and installing depuration systems.
These systems do not simply filter water but they completely treat it with a chemical and physical sedimentation, to then discharge it in the environment or reuse it in a closed loop, to draw from the source only the minimun amount necessary to replace the water lost to nebulization of the high-pressure jets.

Water treatment systems are dimensioned according to the required flowrate. They can be placed on worksites and later removed at the end of the work, they can be built on-site leveraging the terrain’s morphology and applying appropriate barriers to prevent filtration to the ground. In case of works on bridge extrados is can be easy to funnel water toward the water treatment system. During works on an intrados it is instead necessary to create moats to collect water and use submersible pumps to recover it. The water treatment systems designed and build by JetBlast are fully integrated and mobile based on 10’ or 20’ containers depending on the requirements

These systems are able to filter from 3 to 20m3/h of hydrodemolition waste water, making possible its immediate reuse on-site. The advantages of this type of system are several: complete mobility, automated operation and environmental sustainability.

During treatment a variable amount, between 5% and 10%, of the waste water is separated into solid material, while the remaining part is filtered and depurated to obtain clean water with suspended particles smaller tham 1 micron.

The water treatment systems are based on both chemical and physical processes.

The hydrodemolition waste water are initially treated with flocculants which enable the deposition or the larger particles. The different parts are divided through sedimentation of the heavier components.

For the objective of guaranteeing water quality from the chemical point of view, our systems are provided with continuous monitoring of pH and acidity adjustment.

Only a small amount of waterjetting water, at the end of the process, is dispersed into the environment due to evaporation. At the end of the treatment water can be immediately reused in the high-pressure system, or it can be dispersed as clean water.
